City Park Coffee Grinds 10/Hilly/20

About this event

This is a short but hilly ride mixing in the gravel trails of Schenley and Frick Parks with some quieter roads in Squirrel Hill and Oakland +coffee stop thrown in somewhere along our route, most likely in Regent Square or Squirrel Hill.
Parkway East bridge replacement
Current route includes segment on Nine Mile Run, where you can get a close up look at the Parkway East bridge replacement project. Note that this portion of the route will be closed starting in July thru sometime in August while the existing bridge is demolished and the new bridge moved into place.

This is a NO DROP RIDE. We will wait at turns unless we are all together.  Depending on the size of the group and how we are feeling we can adjust the route for more or less climbing and steepness. The main idea is to get some gravel time in and have fun together. The gravel sections vary a good bit – from smoother, hard-packed sand, to crushed limestone, & larger "driveway" gravel. This is terrain best suited for a gravel bike with 40-45mm tires.

Click here for the Route: (There have been some recent trail closures due to washouts from heavy storms, so we'll do our best to adhere to this route, but may need to detour.)
