We're returning to the Shenandoah Valley area to enjoy the pleasant riding, spectacular scenery, historic points of interest and the many wonderful small communities all while we're on two wheels.   This is our 2nd annual trip and this year we're taking things to an ALL NEW level!! 

Our theme for this event is "Make it Your Own Experience".  We've arranged for your accommodations.  We've organized all the details and routes for you too.  We've also added some nice mini-events like evening socials and Saturday's dinner into the event itinerary.  But we left you enough room for flexibility so you can enjoy Harrisonburg, VA and make this trip "Your Own Experience".

Here's a summary of the tour's itinerary...

Enjoy a "warm-up ride" on Thursday followed by dinner on your own.  Then, stop by our reserved lounge between 8:00 PM and 9:30 PM for our PBC Evening Social where you can unwind and learn what Friday's riding schedule includes and who the ride leaders are for each ride.

On Friday, enjoy a hot breakfast buffet with other members before heading out on one of our best routes the valley has to offer or escaping to Skyline Drive for the ride of a lifetime.  After you finish your ride, explore Harrisonburg for lunch/dinner and shopping at your own leisure.  Top off
 your day with a visit to our reserved lounge for another PBC Evening Social between 8:00 PM and 9:30 PM to share your stories with others about your day and learn what Saturday's ride schedule is and who the ride leaders are for each ride.

Saturday offers you another hot breakfast buffet, fantastic riding opportunities, our PBC Cocktail Hour at 5:00 PM, followed by a catered dinner at 6:30 PM.  Make sure you reserve your seat when registering.  Seating is LIMITED!  We'll also announce Sunday's ride schedule during the dinner. 

Sunday morning offers you yet another hot breakfast buffet with the group and a 4th day of riding opportunities before heading home, dreaming about next year's Shenandoah & Skyline Drive Tour.  

The dining hall where breakfast is served is open from 7 am to 9 am.

Space is Limited!

Accommodations are limited.  First-come, first-served!  Seating is also limited for our Saturday Evening Dinner Event.  Reserve your room for your stay and your seat for Saturday's dinner when registering.

Weekend Packages & Options

A. The MASTER WEEKEND SINGLE - $214.49/Person

Choose this option if you desire to have your own, private room without a roommate.  Included in the cost for this option is: 3 nights lodging (Thursday, Friday, & Saturday), 3 hot breakfast buffets, 3 PBC Evening Socials/Cocktail Hours, bed linens (includes: 2 sheets, 2 towels, a washcloth, 1 pillow, 1 pillow case, 1 blanket - please bring an extra
 pillow and blanket if you need more than one), laundry available, routes & cue sheets, GPS files, and SAG.  Your apartment suite will have a full kitchen, furnished living room and bedroom, and a private bath.  Payment is due at the time of registration.

B. The MASTER WEEKEND DOUBLE - $175.25/Person

Choose this option if you desire to share a room with a roommate.  Included in the cost for this option is: 3 nights lodging (Thursday, Friday, & Saturday), 3 hot breakfast buffets, 3 PBC Evening Socials/Cocktail Hours, bed linens (includes: 2 sheets, 2 towels, a washcloth, 1 pillow, 1 pillow case, 1 blanket - please bring an extra
 pillow and blanket if you need more than one), laundry available, routes & cue sheets, GPS files, and SAG.  Your apartment suite will have a full kitchen, furnished bedroom for two, furnished living room, and bath shared by two.  Payment is due at the time of registration.

C. The MINI WEEKEND - $55/Person

Choose this option if you are making your own plans for overnight accommodations and breakfast.  Included in this option is: Participation in all the rides, 3 PBC Evening Socials/Cocktail Hours, routes & cue sheets, GPS Files, and SAG.  Payment is due at the time of registration.

Hotel Recommendation - The closest hotel to the group's accommodations is the Hotel Madison.  They are only a few hundred feet away from the Apartments on Grace where the group will be staying and launching many rides each morning.  Hotel Madison is a brand new hotel and conference center opening in May 2018.  Most other hotels and B & Bs are 2+ miles away.

D. Saturday EVENING DINNER (Optional) - $28.50/Person

Whether you're planning to participate in the Master Weekend or the Mini Weekend, join us for a catered dinner on-campus at James Madison University.  Dinner includes: V
egan and traditional fare and non-alcoholic beverages.  The menu will include a spinach salad with strawberries and almonds, assortment of dinner rolls including whole-grain rolls, chicken entree, black bean patty entree, roasted fresh vegetables, roasted red potatoes, fresh seasonal fruit salad, chocolate cake, and vegan brownies. Price includes tax & gratuity.  We'll also announce Sunday's ride schedule during the dinner. Payment is due at the time of registration.

Routes & Cue Sheets

You'll have 4 days of riding opportunities!  Each participant will receive routes and cue sheets prior to the event. There will be various routes ranging from shorter to longer distances.  Many routes start and end at our accommodations, the Apartments on Grace.  There are other routes that have remote starting points only a short drive way.  The choice is yours and all routes will accommodate riders of every level.  Yes, riding Skyline Drive will enable even less experienced riders the option to enjoy the scenery.

Ride leaders, routes, and departure times will be announced at our PBC Evening Social on both Thursday and Friday and at Saturday's Dinner.  So please be sure to stop by and visit so you know what's going to happen the next day.

You can choose to ride with a designated group leader or head out on the route of your choice. Organized rides with leaders will be offered Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There will also be a Skyline Drive route for those who desire a birds-eye view with one-of-a-kind scenery.  There's only 1 rule:  You cannot ride alone!  Our tour requires all riders to have at least one riding partner with them when they head out on a ride.

Emergency SAG - Ed McCarty will be there helping us with emergency SAG too!  Keep in mind that riders must come prepared to be able to change their own flat tires and handle minor repairs on their own when out on 
the road.  So brush up on your skills and be ready to help another rider when needed. 

Things To-Do

Enjoy a short walk from our accommodations to local restaurants and shops.  Or take a drive and see other small communities and historical landmarks, including the Shenandoah National Park and the views from atop Skyline Drive.

Non-Rider Guests

Non-rider guests can enjoy the same accommodations, PBC Evening Socials/Cocktail Hour, and area restaurants and shops by choosing either option A, B, or C above.  They are also welcome to choose option D if they would like to attend the Saturday Evening Dinner.  Non-rider guests must be members of the club and must also complete the registration process in the same manner as riders. Payment is due at the time of registration.
