Nancy's Happy Trails Ride 11/FLAT/26
About this event
Welcome to Saturday Panhandle Happy Hour Ride!
This ride is for those new to outdoor cycling, or those who want a leisure social pace on the Panhandle Trail, a rails-to-trails from Collier Township, PA to West Virginia. A large portion of the trail is paved (17 miles in Washington County), otherwise the trail is crushed limestone and pretty well maintained.
The group will set the pace and no one left behind!
Since we have no turns except at the halfway point, we may stop at pre-determined mile markers/landmarks to give everyone a chance to catch up.
At the conclusion of the ride, all are welcome to socialize during Happy Hour at Helicon. Beer is half price! Mr. Bulgogi food truck is currently scheduled to be there at noon, or feel free to bring your own food and snacks. Enjoy time with your fellow cyclists in a tailgating atmosphere!
ABOUT THIS WEEK'S RIDE:
Ride will start from the parking lot of Helicon Brewing in Oakdale, PA and proceed to Burgettstown, then turnaround, for a total distance of 26 miles. There is also trail parking across the street from Helicon Brewing.
This ride will cancel for rain.
