PLEASE LEND A HAND

We need several key volunteers for this event.  In planning this event, we need to know ahead of time that some of our key volunteer spots are filled.  As a token of our appreciation, volunteers who select one of our "PRIME" volunteer spots by June 18, 2023 will be invited to attend our VIP Welcome Reception being held on Friday, July 21st.  Dinner will be served.

In addition to being invited to our VIP Welcome Reception, the following volunteers will receive a registration fee of $79 (That's a $70 savings!):

  • Lead SAG Driver for the Reddish Knob Experience Ride
  • Assistant Lead SAG Driver for the Reddish Knob Experience Ride
  • Rear SAG Driver for the Reddish Knob Experience Ride
  • Assistant SAG Driver for the Reddish Knob Experience Ride

While all volunteer spots are important for the event, those designated as "PRIME" are the most needed because they will have specific tasks to complete for the benefit of the event.  Non-riders and non-riding spouses have most commonly filled these spots.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the event coordinator below.

IL GRANDE GIRO!

We'll be in Harrisonburg, Virginia again this year for our 7th Annual Shenandoah Experience event.  For more information, visit our Shenandoah Experience special event page.
 
We offer comfortable accommodations, great food, and 4 days of organized group rides in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. With more than 3 dozen routes to choose from, road and gravel riders will enjoy the options they have each day.

Registration includes: Participation, 3 evening socials, Saturday's Social with heavy hors d'oeuvres, routes and GPS files, 4 days of rides, and SAG for planned rides.

Hotel Accommodations are being provided by Hotel Madison separate from this registration and all registrants will receive a link to reserve their room under our room block.

How-To Register

1.  Sign up for our "Free Shenandoah Experience Text Alerts" using the form on the right or scan the QR Code below to opt-in and stay updated on things happening up to and during the event.



2.  Click the "Register Now" button to register and pay your event participation fee.  After you register here for the event, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to reserve your room under our room block.  REGISTERING HERE WILL NOT RESERVE YOUR ROOM.  YOU MUST USE THE LINK IN YOUR CONFIRMATION EMAIL TO RESERVE YOUR ROOM AT HOTEL MADISON.  Types of rooms available are subject to change - FIRST COME FIRST ACCOMMODATED.  Your room rate includes parking and secure bike storage for the duration of the event. ROOM RATES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE BASED ON AVAILABILITY. 

IMPORTANT:   Please do not delete your confirmation email until you have reserved your room since the link to do so is in that email. When reserving your room, couples need to reserve only one hotel room but both need to register here on this page for the event.

3.  Both riders and non-riders must be members of the club and both must register through this page by clicking on the "Register Now" button.

4. Be ONE OF THE FIRST 60 and receive our 2023 event t-shirt when checking in with us at the event on Thursday evening. Please indicate your size when registering for the event.  You will receive only what you ordered as there will NOT be replacement shirts available when checking in.

Cancellation Policy & Fees:

There are two (2) parts to the registration process, both of which have different cancellation policies:

1.) "Event Registration" (through the club): Cancellations prior to and including June 18, 2023 will receive a refund minus a $50.00 cancellation fee for all options. There are NO REFUNDS AFTER June 18, 2022.

2.) "Hotel Madison Room Reservations" (through Hotel Madison): A 48-hour notice to cancel room reservations is required in order to receive a full refund. ANY PART of your reservation not canceled with a 48-hour notice is subject to fees charged by Hotel Madison. All questions pertaining to room reservations should be directed to the Hotel Madison staff.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE EVENT

Hotel accommodations are on your own and separate from this registration. Registering under our room block assures the club is able to provide this event as described due to discounts we receive through Hotel Madison. It also provides us negotiating leverage as it relates to future event planning.

Additionally, registering under our room block will save you $15 per night for parking and secure bike storage. Hotel Madison's policy is that no bikes are permitted in the rooms. Therefore, we've negotiated secure storage that gives you access to your bike 24 hours a day in addition to having the hotel providing supplies necessary for cleaning your bike on their property. Registering outside of our room block will have an additional fee of $15 per night for the parking and bike storage combined. It is up to each participant as to how they choose to store their bike. The event organizers have taken every opportunity to verify bike storage will be secure during the event. Hotel Madison does NOT Permit bikes to be stored inside guest rooms.
